ACUM (Society of Authors, Composers and Music Publishers in Israel) is a non-profit copyright collective founded in 1936 (operating informally from 1934). Headquartered in Ramat Gan, it administers performing rights, mechanical rights, reprint rights and partially grand rights on behalf of its members — authors, lyricists, composers, arrangers and music publishers — as the collective management body for musical copyright in Israel.
ACUM has been a member of CISAC since 1949 and is also affiliated with BIEM for mechanical rights. Through its memberships it maintains reciprocal agreements with more than 100 affiliated societies worldwide, enabling cross-border royalty collection and distribution for Israeli creators performing internationally and for foreign works performed in Israel.
The organization represents over ten thousand active members and maintains a database of more than 1.7 million registered works. It issues licences to music users including broadcasters, hospitality venues, digital platforms and live-performance organizers, and has recognized outstanding contributions to Israeli music through its annual ACUM Awards.
