Eesti Autorite Ühing (EAÜ — Estonian Authors' Society) is a non-profit collective management organization founded on 8 October 1991. Based in Tallinn, it serves as the primary CMO in Estonia for musical works, works of visual art and audiovisual works, acting as an intermediary between creators and users of protected works.
EAÜ administers both performing and mechanical rights, including public performance, broadcast, online use, private-copying levies and audiovisual permits. It is a member of both CISAC and BIEM, the international body for mechanical-rights societies.
The society represents several thousand Estonian rights holders and, through reciprocal agreements with partner societies across more than 100 territories, the international repertoire within Estonia. It licenses music users and distributes the collected royalties to rights holders.
