Music Copyright (Thailand) Ltd. (MCT) is a collective management organization incorporated as a limited company under Thai law, established in 1994 following the enactment of Thailand's Copyright Act B.E. 2537. It operates on a non-profit basis — royalties collected from licensees are distributed to rights holders after deduction of administrative costs — and is the Thai authors' society admitted as a member of CISAC.
MCT administers public-performance rights for musical works — across broadcast, online and live-performance contexts — on behalf of Thai composers, authors and music publishers; mechanical rights are handled separately in Thailand. It has signed reciprocal agreements with around 40 international CMOs, covering rights protection across some 90 countries, and began distributing royalties to its members in 1998.
As of its 30th anniversary in 2024, MCT counted roughly a thousand general and provisional members alongside publisher members. It maintains partnerships with counterpart societies across the region, including JASRAC (Japan), KOMCA (Korea), COMPASS (Singapore), MACP (Malaysia) and VCPMC (Vietnam).
