MSG (Musiki Eseri Sahipleri Grubu Meslek Birliği — Musical Work Owners' Group of Turkey) is a Turkish collective management organization founded on 26 July 1999 following approval by the Turkish Ministry of Culture. Headquartered in Istanbul, it administers both performing and mechanical rights for composers, lyricists, arrangers and music publishers, operating as a non-profit professional association distinct from and parallel to MESAM, Turkey's older society founded in 1986.
MSG has been a member of CISAC since 2000 and is also affiliated with BIEM for mechanical rights. It has signed representation contracts with dozens of foreign professional associations, providing coverage for its members' works across more than 100 territories. In 2021 MSG was temporarily suspended from CISAC alongside MESAM over inter-society conflicts, and was reinstated after a cooperation protocol was signed in 2022.
MSG represents more than ten thousand songwriters, composers and music publishers, and monitors copyright for over a million domestic and foreign works. The 2022 cooperation protocol with MESAM created a joint technical office coordinating licensing, documentation and royalty distribution across both Turkish societies, aiming for a unified one-stop licensing environment for music users in Turkey.
