MUSICAUTOR is Bulgaria's collective management organization for musical authors' rights, founded on 11 June 1992 by a group of Bulgarian composers and lyricists. Headquartered in Sofia, it operates as a non-profit association and is the principal CMO in Bulgaria for musical works, licensing users across broadcast, public performance, online distribution and physical reproduction.
MUSICAUTOR administers both performing and mechanical rights. It became a member of CISAC in 1993 and joined BIEM in 1996 for mechanical-rights administration, and has been a member of GESAC since 2018.
The organization represents several thousand Bulgarian authors directly and, through reciprocal agreements with partner societies, the international repertoire within Bulgaria, distributing collected royalties to domestic and foreign rights holders.
