SACVEN joined CISAC as an associate member in 1964 and became a full member four years later. This affiliation enables reciprocal representation agreements with societies worldwide, protecting Venezuelan authors' rights internationally and licensing foreign repertoires domestically.
By 2014 SACVEN represented more than 11,000 national members and, through its international reciprocal network, over two million foreign authors. The organisation operates under Venezuela's copyright legislation and applies transparent collection and distribution mechanisms based on international standards.
