What is SUISA?

SUISA ("SUISse Auteurs") is the collecting society for Swiss songwriters, composers and music publishers. SUISA is the Cooperative Society of Music Authors and Publishers in Switzerland. Created in 1923, SUISA manages collective rights for its members, collecting licenses fees when musical works are performed, broadcasted or shared in Switzerland and Lichtenstein, and paying performing royalties. SUISA now manages the rights of around 2 million rights holders. The company also issues licenses to authorize performances and broadcasting.
