The Vietnam Center for Protection of Music Copyright (VCPMC) is a non-profit collective management organization established on 19 April 2002 by decision of the Vietnam Musicians' Association. Headquartered in Hanoi, it operates as the collective management organization for music copyright in Vietnam, mandated to represent and protect the rights of musical-work authors.
VCPMC manages a broad set of rights, including reproduction (physical and online), public performance (live and broadcast), synchronization, communication to the public and adaptation. It became a member of CISAC in July 2007, integrating Vietnamese creators into the global reciprocal network; as of the mid-2020s it manages several hundred thousand entrusted works and represents thousands of author members.
Royalty collection has grown steadily since inception, reaching well over a hundred billion Vietnamese dong per year. The organization distributes royalties on a quarterly basis and maintains bilateral relationships with international CMOs through the CISAC framework, enabling cross-border royalty flows for Vietnamese creators abroad and foreign rights holders in Vietnam.
