Wahana Musik Indonesia (WAMI) is a non-profit collective management organization incorporated on 15 September 2006 and converted from a limited company to an association in 2015. Operating under Indonesia's Copyright Law No. 28 of 2014 and within the national CMO framework, it administers performing rights — and, on a developing basis, mechanical rights — for composers, lyricists and music publishers.
WAMI became a member of CISAC in 2012, formalising Indonesia's integration into the global reciprocal-rights network. Through agreements with more than 60 foreign CMOs, it collects and distributes royalties on behalf of international rights holders whose works are used in Indonesia, and reciprocally ensures Indonesian creators are remunerated when their works are performed abroad.
As of the mid-2020s, WAMI represents several thousand music creators and publishers, including major Indonesian labels. It serves as a primary licensing body for public music use across broadcasting, hospitality, digital platforms and live-performance venues, and operates from Jakarta.
